The University of Pennsylvania welcomed top high school athletes from across the East Coast to its brand-new Ott Center for the Penn Relays Winter Showcase, presented by Toyota, on January 31 – February 1, 2025.
The event featured elite competition, with standout performances across multiple events. While athletes from various states made their mark, let’s take a closer look at some of the top performances from Philadelphia’s rising stars.
Boys’ Highlights
60m Dash: Cristo Rey’s Bryce Leaks claimed 2nd place with an impressive 6.89 seconds and later finished 6th in the 200m with a time of 22.15 seconds.
800m Run: St. Joseph’s Prep athletes Robert Mallery (1:57.42) and Brady Falcon (1:57.74) placed 8th and 10th, respectively, in a highly competitive field.

Girls’ Highlights
400m Dash: Engineering & Science’s Payton Drumright clocked 58.97 seconds, securing 9th place in a deep field.
60m Hurdles: Springside Chestnut Hill Academy’s Kennedy Hayward showcased her speed and technique, earning 3rd place with a time of 9.07 seconds.
With so much young talent on display, the future of Philadelphia Track & Field looks brighter than ever. This event not only provided athletes with high-level competition but also set the stage for an exciting outdoor season ahead.
