On November 3rd at Germantown Supersite there was quit a big game on the gridiron
The Spartans who came into the game 13-0 faced the 3A City Champs when they faced the Saints of Neumann Goretti
While the Saints won the game 20-17 it wasn’t without drama down to the final second of the game
A rainy day which complicated the game early turned to sunshine as Goretti relayed on help from the defense as well as a beautifully thrown ball late in the 4th quarter that earned the win and a chance at the State 3A title
If you had to name a hero it would definitely go to QB Mekhi Warton who stayed poised after a questionable pass interference which gave the Spartans a lead late in the game
With about a minute and about 60 plus yards to go Warton took the challenge and accepted it to throw the game winning Touchdown
Make sure to follow the teams journey as they head up to Hersey Pa to compete for a State Title
